SCREEN PRINTING

Screen printing is the process of transferring a stenciled design onto a substrate (t-shirt, hoodie, tote bag, poster, etc.) by pushing ink through a mesh screen with a squeegee — it’s equal parts art and craft.

Once a screen is dry and ready, the screen is ready to clip into the press.

The ink is then mixed and poured onto the screen, and a sqeegee is used to press the ink through the microscopic holes in the screen, leaving a crisp imprint of ink on the garment.

Different colors and artwork placemnts each require their own screens, and increase the cost of a given project.

For example, Printing a large two color logo on back of a shirt and small one of the front would require 4 screens, two screens for both colors on the front, and two more for both colors on the back.

Using color gradients, and incorperating the garment color into the artwork are both great ways to save on screens.

Minimum order size for first time customers is 24 pieces of each style of garment. For established customers we will print smaller orders, but please be aware that screen printing requires the same amount of set-up for 1 shirt or 1,000, and price per shirt increases substantially.
